About The Project
Ma-Africa project is a registered NPO. Registration 239-099 NPO initiated on the 18th of
November 2019 in response to HIV and Aids. Due to Muslim Aids Programme
inspiration and motivation, the newly name of Ma-Africa Project was being initiated and
the community of Rockville and surrounding took over from the Muslim Aids Program
and continued with Awareness. OVC (orphaned and vulnerable children) program,
Training, counselling and life skills programme, training, counselling and life skills
programme that will quickly progress to a point where the need to care and support for
infected and affected people become and priority. As MAP we are confident that we will
make a positive contribution to national struggle against HIV and AIDS as well as
partnership in fighting this devastating disease.

Needs identified
• There is a need of food packs for people living with HIV/AIDS support groups
• Food parcels for our OVC beneficiaries as the organization only provides them
with daily cooked meals only during the week and on weekends the centre is
closed.
• Clothes and shoes for beneficiaries who are unable to afford decent clothing
• Dignity packs for our teenagers has been a challenge as some of them rarely
attend due to the not having sanitary pads when their on their periods.
• Our beneficiaries have not been to camps or tours as part of debriefing.
Situational analysis
• Orphaned children face a number of vulnerabilities and risks, such as sexual exploitation
and abuse ,hazardous child labour early sexual debut and marriage dispossession of
property, poor emotional and mental health. Ma-Africa project serves the community
based programs used across the Rockville and White City to address the needs of
orphans and vulnerable. Furthermore due to the circumstances that prevailed Ma-Africa
project occupies the position of relief, remedial and resilience building within the
Rockville and White City community as an umbrella institution which serves the
community holistically
